Crop Rotation

Definition

Crop rotation is the practice of growing different types of crops in a specific order on the same piece of land over time. It helps to improve soil fertility, control pests and diseases, and reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers.

Analogy

Think of crop rotation like changing up your exercise routine. Just as you switch between different workouts to target different muscle groups and prevent fatigue or injury, crop rotation involves alternating crops to benefit the soil and prevent pest buildup.
