A term used to describe a pair of genes where one is dominant and one is recessive. They're different forms of the same gene.
Dominant Gene: This is a version of a gene that will produce its trait even if there's only one copy present in an organism's DNA.
Recessive Gene: This is a version of a gene that will only show its trait if there are two copies present in an organism's DNA.
