Definition

Acne is a skin condition characterized by the presence of pimples, blackheads, and cysts due to the clogging of hair follicles with oil and dead skin cells. It commonly occurs on the face, back, and chest and is most prevalent during puberty when hormonal changes stimulate excess oil production.
