Validity

Definition

Validity refers to the extent to which a measurement or test accurately measures what it is intended to measure.

Analogy

Think of validity as hitting the bullseye in archery. If your aim is accurate and you consistently hit the center of the target, then your shots are valid. But if you miss the mark and consistently hit outside the target, then your shots lack validity.
