Slope refers to the steepness or incline of a line on a graph. It represents how much one variable changes with respect to another variable.
Imagine you're hiking up a mountain trail. The slope represents how steep or gradual your ascent is. A steeper slope means you're climbing quickly, while a gentler slope means you're ascending more slowly.
Tangent Line: The tangent line to a curve at a specific point represents the slope of the curve at that point.
Rate of Change: Slope can also be thought of as the rate of change between two variables. It tells us how one variable changes in relation to another.
Positive/Negative Slope: A positive slope indicates an upward trend, while a negative slope indicates a downward trend on a graph.
