Definition
A double bond is a chemical linkage consisting of two shared electron pairs between two atoms.
Analogy
Imagine you're playing tug-of-war with your friend. If both sides pull equally hard, it's like a double bond - there's an equal sharing but stronger than before (like in single bonds).
