Definition

Abundance refers to the proportion or percentage representation of each isotope in a given sample or element. It indicates how common each isotope is compared to others.

Analogy

Think about attending a school dance where there are three groups - 25% freshmen, 20% sophomores, and 55% juniors. The abundance of each grade level determines how crowded the dance floor will be with students from each group.
