Graft-versus-Host Disease (GVHD): A complication that can occur after a stem cell or bone marrow transplant, where the donated cells attack the recipient's healthy cells.
Conditioning Regimen: The chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy given to a patient before a stem cell transplant to destroy diseased or abnormal cells and make room for the new, healthy stem cells.
