In this stream you learn how to take derivatives using the product and quotient rules. In doing so, you are shown a method to help you stay organized and not have to memorize the rules. We will also discuss when it is appropriate and most efficient to use the product and quotient rules. This stream contains several mixed practice examples of taking derivatives using the product and quotient rules as well as splitting the fraction and using FOIL to simplify questions upfront. It even contains an example in which you have to use the product rule within the quotient rule!
