Steamships

Definition

Steamships are large ships powered by steam engines that were used extensively for both passenger travel and cargo transport during the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Analogy

Imagine steamships as giant floating factories. Just like factories use power (like electricity or coal) to produce goods, steamships used steam power generated by burning coal or wood to move across water bodies.
