Also known as molarity, this is another unit for measuring concentration. It quantifies the number of moles (a measure for amount of substance) present in one liter of solution.
Think about filling up your car's gas tank. If each gallon represents one mole and your car has a 10-gallon tank, then filling it up completely would mean you have 10 moles per 'liter' (or gallon in this case).
Mole: A standard scientific unit for measuring large quantities of very small entities such as atoms or molecules.
Solution: A homogeneous mixture composed of two or more substances. In such mixtures, one substance called solute is dissolved into another substance called solvent.
Stoichiometry: The calculation involving relationships between reactants and/or products in chemical reactions based on balanced chemical equations.
