Definition

An ideology is a set of beliefs, values, and ideas that shapes the way an individual or group such as a political party sees the world. It influences their understanding of social order and how it should be achieved.

Analogy

Think of ideology like the filter on your favorite photo editing app. Just like how a filter changes how you see an image, an ideology changes how people perceive and interpret events in the world around them.
