Corpus Callosum

Definition

A large band of neural fibers connecting two hemispheres of brain allowing them to communicate with each other.

Analogy

Think of the corpus callosum as a bridge between two cities. Just like how the bridge allows people and goods to move from one city to another, the corpus callosum allows information to pass from one hemisphere of your brain to the other.
