Definition

Governance refers to the process of decision-making and the process by which decisions are implemented (or not implemented). In terms of government, it's how public institutions conduct public affairs and manage public resources.

Analogy

Think of governance like being a team captain in a sports game. The captain has to make decisions for the team, implement strategies, and manage resources (like player positions and time-outs) to achieve their goal - winning the game.
