Pesticides

Definition

Pesticides are chemical substances used to kill or control pests such as insects, weeds, and fungi. They are commonly used in agriculture to protect crops from damage but can also have negative impacts on human health and the environment.

Analogy

Think of pesticides as a superhero team that fights against crop-destroying villains. Each pesticide has its own superpower - some zap bugs with laser-like precision, while others suffocate weeds like a powerful forcefield. However, just like superheroes can sometimes cause unintended collateral damage, pesticides can harm beneficial organisms and ecosystems if not used carefully.
