Water Vapor

Definition

Water vapor is the gaseous phase of water. It's invisible and occurs when water evaporates or boils, changing from a liquid or solid state into a gas.

Analogy

Think of water vapor like steam rising from your hot cup of cocoa on a cold day. You can't see the individual molecules, but you know they're there because you can see the steam.
