Parliamentary System:A system of government where the executive branch is dependent on the direct or indirect support of the legislative branch, often involving a prime minister as head of government.
Unitary State: A state governed as a single entity, in which the central government is ultimately supreme and any administrative divisions (subnational units) exercise only the powers that the central government chooses to delegate.
Separation of Powers:A model of government where the powers of the state are divided into different branches (legislative, executive, and judicial) which act as checks and balances on each other.
