In research design, manipulating factors refers to deliberately changing or controlling certain variables to observe their impact on the outcome of an experiment. This allows researchers to determine cause-and-effect relationships between variables.
The independent variable is the factor that is purposely manipulated by the researcher in an experiment.
Experimental Group: The experimental group consists of participants who are exposed to the manipulated factor or condition being studied.
The control group is a comparison group that does not receive the manipulated factor or condition, serving as a baseline for comparison.
