Arithmetic operators are symbols used in programming languages to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and modulus (remainder).
Imagine arithmetic operators as tools in your toolbox. Just like you use different tools for different tasks (e.g., hammer for nails, screwdriver for screws), you use different arithmetic operators depending on the mathematical operation you want to perform.
Operand: The values or variables on which arithmetic operations are performed.
Expression: A combination of operands and operators that evaluates to a single value.
Precedence: The order in which arithmetic operations are evaluated when there are multiple operations in an expression.
