Accuracy of an Approximation

Definition

Accuracy refers to how close an approximation is to its corresponding exact value. It indicates how well an approximation represents reality or truth.

Analogy

Think of accuracy as trying to hit a target with darts. If your dart hits very close to where you aimed (the exact value), then your approximation is highly accurate.
