Definition

The elbow joint is a synovial joint that connects the upper arm bone (humerus) with the two bones of the forearm (radius and ulna), allowing for flexion and extension as well as limited rotation. It is a hinge type of joint supported by muscles, ligaments, and tendons to facilitate movement and stability.
