Coronal suture

Definition

The coronal suture is a dense, fibrous connective tissue joint that connects the frontal bone to the two parietal bones of the skull. It runs across the skull, from one side to another, in a coronal (frontal) plane.

A pair of bones located on each side of the skull, behind the frontal bone, forming much of its top and sides.
