Bone marrow transplant

Definition

A bone marrow transplant is a medical procedure performed to replace damaged or destroyed bone marrow with healthy bone marrow stem cells. The process involves infusing these healthy cells into the patient's bloodstream, where they migrate to the bone marrow and begin producing new blood cells.
