frequently asked questions

why do some subjects have more cram sessions?

each subject has a cram session for each unit and question type, three open Q&As, and stream the night before the exam. courses differ in number of units and number of question types. for example, economics has 5 units while physics 1 has 10.

how long are the cram sessions?

cram sessions are scheduled for one hour each and sometimes go over a bit if there are extra questions. the night before the exam, we’ll be live with an open forum Q&A for 5 hours.

are the cram sessions recorded?

yep! it’s best to attend live so you can ask questions and chat with other students. however, everything is recorded and time-stamped so you can watch it later or again. these replays are only available with a valid cram pass.

will there be other live streams happening once cram sessions start?

after the first cram session begins, we’ll still have one free live stream per subject every week. these freebies will be AMAs with students who have earned 5s. all lecture reviews and practice questions will be reserved for cram audiences.

other than crams, is all the content on Fiveable really free?

yep. you can join live streams, watch replays, play live trivia, practice past trivia, read study guides, review slide decks, and use the Q&A library. it’s all free and open for every student to use. the only thing we charge for is cram passes, for the last minute crowd.

does fiveable sell data?

noooo way. we don’t sell any data to anyone. we do collect some data that you and your teacher can use to focus your studying, but it stays between fiveable, you, and your school.
