# AP® Resources for New Jersey Schools | Fiveable

## Overview

Plan teacher-led AP practice, your review routine for AI feedback, and the documents your New Jersey district needs.

Give your AP teachers a shared place to assign practice, review student work, and plan follow-up lessons. Start with the teachers who need accounts, then bring a quote and the requested documents to your school or district’s review process.

## Plan accounts for your AP department

### Fund teacher-led practice

Teacher accounts support assignments and classroom results. Students complete their teacher’s assignments with free accounts. List the courses and teachers you want to include, then choose quantities for one teacher, an AP department, or several departments together.

### Choose independent study separately

Sponsored student accounts are optional for independent study beyond teacher-led assignments. Include them when your school wants to fund students’ use of the study library on their own. Teacher and student volume discounts are calculated separately in checkout.

### Plan your department rollout

Identify who will receive the setup link and assign purchased accounts. Choose the teachers, courses, and start date for your first assignments. Teachers review scores and feedback, then use classroom results to plan follow-up practice.

## Annual teacher pricing

- 1–4 teacher accounts: $129 each per year.

- 5–24 teacher accounts: $99 each per year.

- 25+ teacher accounts: $69 each per year.

For example, five teacher accounts cost $495 per year. Students complete those teachers’ assignments with free accounts. Optional sponsored student accounts add a separate cost.

## Keep teacher judgment central to your New Jersey plan

New Jersey’s Department of Education describes AI as a support for learning and emphasizes human judgment, transparency, and checking AI output. Make those decisions concrete in your department’s Fiveable plan: what students will practice, how teachers will review feedback, and which district reviewers must approve the workflow.

- Choose an AP course and assignment sequence that supports a specific learning goal.

- Document how teachers will check scores and feedback before using them in classroom decisions.

- Explain to students how AI feedback supports revision and how their teacher reviews their work.

- Ask your district’s privacy and technology teams to review data practices, accessibility needs, and required vendor paperwork.

Bring the teaching plan and the requested privacy documents to your district’s review. NJDOE’s AI guidance informs responsible classroom use; your district still determines approval and purchasing requirements.

## From department plan to purchase

### Prepare an instructional plan and quote

Choose teacher quantities and any optional sponsored student accounts. Checkout calculates the annual price and lets you download a quote for your business office. Include the courses, quantities, and planned start date. Quotes are valid for 30 days, so check the date before your office issues a purchase order.

### Gather your district’s review packet

Ask your office which documents it needs, such as a signed W-9, privacy agreement, accessibility information, or security documentation. Include your district name and its required forms. The document request form opens an editable email draft; send that draft to submit your request.

### Complete the purchase and assign accounts

Your office can pay by card or arrange a purchase order using the quote ID. After Fiveable receives and reviews your PO, we send a setup link while your business office arranges payment. If you pay by card or bank transfer, we send the link after payment is confirmed. Use it to assign purchased accounts when teachers are ready.

## Privacy documents for your district

Contact us for the privacy paperwork your district needs. We can check what’s on file and review your district’s requirements.

## New Jersey school purchasing questions

### Do we need to purchase an account for every student?

Students complete teacher-led assignments with free accounts. Purchase teacher accounts for the teachers who will assign work. Sponsored student accounts are optional for independent study beyond those assignments. Choose those quantities separately in checkout.

### How should New Jersey teachers plan to use AI feedback?

Set a teacher review routine before introducing assignments. NJDOE’s AI guidance emphasizes human judgment, transparency, and independent verification of AI output. Decide how teachers will check feedback and explain its role to students, then complete your district’s privacy and technology review for the intended use.

### Can we request our district’s privacy documents?

Yes. Request documents for your district through the purchasing form. Include your district’s privacy agreement or vendor forms so Fiveable can review your office’s requirements.

### Can a New Jersey school purchase Fiveable with a PO?

Yes. Download a quote from school checkout, then have your business office submit its purchase order with the quote ID. Quotes are valid for 30 days. After Fiveable receives and reviews the PO, we send a setup link while the office arranges payment. Your district’s approval and purchasing procedures still apply.
