Pulley System

Definition

A pulley system is a simple machine that consists of a grooved wheel and a rope or cable. It is used to change the direction or magnitude of a force.

Analogy

Imagine you are trying to lift a heavy box onto a shelf, but it's too heavy for you to lift directly. Using a pulley system is like having someone else help you by pulling on the other end of the rope, making it easier for you to lift the box.
