# Understand why a printable is locked

## Quick answer

Print center requires a Share Plan for printable and exportable resources. If you see share plan required, confirm you are signed in to the account that owns the teacher plan. Then use upgrade only if that account does not include print access.

## What to do

1. **Check the account**: Open [Account](/account) and confirm the email address.

2. **Check Billing**: Open Account > [Billing](/account?tab=billing) and review the active subscription connected to that email.

3. **Check the plan**: Teacher Workspace access and print access are separate plan capabilities. Print center identifies the needed access as a Share Plan.

4. **Try again**: Return to [Print center](/printables) after the account and plan load, then choose the resource again.

5. **Contact support for a mismatch**: If Billing shows the expected access but Print center is still locked, open [Contact support](/contact) or email help@fiveable.me from the account email and include the page URL and screenshot.

## If something is not working

### I paid with another email address.

Sign in with the email that owns the subscription. Contact support if the purchase needs to be connected to a different account.

### I just upgraded and the page is still locked.

Refresh once and reopen Print center. If access still does not update, send the account email and receipt details to support without including payment card numbers.
