# Reset a forgotten password

## Quick answer

Open Account > Forgot Password, enter the account email, and send the reset link. Open the newest email from Fiveable and follow it to choose a new password. Google-only accounts should use Google sign-in or create a password while signed in.

## What to do

1. **Open Forgot Password**: Open [Forgot Password](/account?tab=forgot-password).

2. **Enter the account email**: Use the email shown in Account info or on the subscription receipt.

3. **Send the link**: Select the reset action and wait for the confirmation.

4. **Open the newest email**: Check inbox and spam. If you sent more than one request, use the newest reset email because an older link may no longer be valid.

5. **Choose the new password**: Enter it twice, save, and sign in again.

## If something is not working

### The page says this email uses Google.

Use your Google account credentials to sign in. After signing in, open Change Password if you want to add an email/password login.

### No reset email arrived.

Check spelling, spam, and filtered folders. Wait a few minutes, send one more request, and contact support if the account email is correct.
