The acceleration is equal to the rate of change of velocity with time, and velocity is equal to the rate of change of position with time.
Surprisingly, in uniform circular motion, which has constant speed, there is acceleration due to a change in direction. Don’t forget, acceleration is a change in velocity which has magnitude and direction!

Centripetal Acceleration and Centripetal Force are both vector quantities that point in the same direction, inwards. This means they are both centripetal forces, or center seeking.
