Culture includes language, religion, clothes, housing, traditions, and other ways people express themselves. Folk culture is traditional while popular culture is rooted in mass media. Culture spreads in several ways including through relocation, contagious, hierarchical, and stimulus. This unit also includes a focus on language and religion to understand how each affects the cultural landscape and how diffusion changes them over time.
