The U.S. Census Bureau is a government agency responsible for collecting and providing data about the people and economy of the United States every 10 years.
Decennial Census: This is what we call the census that happens every 10 years (decennial means ten-yearly).
American Community Survey (ACS): An ongoing survey by the U.S. Census Bureau that provides vital information yearly about America and its people.
Demographics: These are statistical data relating to populations or particular groups within them—it's like breaking down a class into boys/girls, juniors/seniors etc., but applied to an entire nation's population!
