Southwestern North America is a region that includes parts of Mexico and United States (Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah). It's known for its desert landscapes but also has mountains and forests.
Great Basin Desert: Located in Southwestern U.S., it's one of four major desert types found in North America characterized by low rainfall & high evaporation rates.
Colorado Plateau: A physiographic region located primarily within southwestern U.S., known for its strikingly colorful and ruggedly beautiful landscapes.
Sonoran Desert: A North American desert which covers large parts of the Southwestern United States in Arizona, California, and Northwestern Mexico in Sonora, Baja California, and Baja California Sur.
