Disease vectors are organisms that transmit pathogens and parasites from one infected person (or animal) to another, causing serious diseases in human populations.
Mosquitoes: These insects are well-known disease vectors, transmitting illnesses such as malaria or dengue fever from one host to another.
Rats/Fleas: During medieval times, rats were carriers for fleas which were vectors for Bubonic plague also known as Black Death.
Ticks/Lyme Disease: Ticks can carry Lyme Disease bacteria which they can pass onto humans through their bites.
