Theory of Mind refers to the ability to understand that others have beliefs, desires, intentions, and perspectives that are different from one's own.
Mentalization: The process by which we implicitly and explicitly interpret the actions of ourselves and others as meaningful based on intentional mental states such as personal desires, needs, feelings, beliefs, and reasons.
Empathy: The ability to understand and share the feelings of another person.
Perspective-taking: The act of perceiving a situation or understanding a concept from an alternative point of view.
