Central Nervous System

Definition

The central nervous system (CNS) consists of the brain and spinal cord. It is responsible for processing information received from all parts of the body.

Related terms

Peripheral Nervous System (PNS): This is like the citizens who send their feedback to the government (CNS). It connects all parts of the body to CNS.

Neurons: These are like individual citizens sending messages. They are nerve cells that transmit signals throughout our bodies.

Spinal Cord: This acts as a highway for communication between body and brain, just like how highways connect cities in a country.
