Definition

Catatonia is a state of psycho-motor immobility and behavioral abnormality manifested by stupor. It's often associated with schizophrenia and other psychiatric disorders.

Schizophrenia: A mental disorder characterized by delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech and behavior, and other symptoms that cause social or occupational dysfunction.

Stupor: A state of near-unconsciousness or insensibility.
