A sine wave is a smooth repetitive oscillation that can be represented by a mathematical function called sine. It has a characteristic shape resembling gentle hills and valleys.
Periodic Motion: Any motion that repeats itself at regular intervals.
Frequency: The number of complete cycles or oscillations of a wave that occur per unit time.
Crest and Trough: The highest point (crest) and lowest point (trough) on a wave respectively.
