An open switch refers to a break or interruption in an electrical circuit that prevents the flow of current.
Closed Switch: A closed switch completes an electrical circuit and allows current to flow freely.
Short Circuit: Occurs when there is an unintended low-resistance connection between two points in a circuit, causing excessive current flow.
Circuit Breaker: A safety device designed to automatically interrupt or break the electrical circuit when it detects excessive current or faults.
