Elastic collisions are collisions between objects where both kinetic energy and momentum are conserved. In an elastic collision, the total kinetic energy before the collision is equal to the total kinetic energy after the collision.
Conservation of Momentum: The principle that states that the total momentum of a system remains constant if no external forces act on it.
Kinetic Energy: The energy possessed by an object due to its motion.
Collision: A situation where two or more objects come into contact with each other and exert forces on each other for a short period of time.
