Definition

Force of gravity refers to the attractive force between two objects with mass. It pulls objects towards each other and depends on their masses and distance apart.

Related terms

Weight: The force experienced by an object due to gravity. It is equal to the mass of the object multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity.

Gravitational Field: The region around an object where its gravitational influence can be felt.

Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation: A law stating that every particle in the universe attracts every other particle with a force directly proportional to their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
