Major-minor 7th chord: Also known as the dominant-7th chord, it combines a major triad with a minor seventh interval. It has both brightness and tension in its sound.
Minor 7th chord: A minor 7th chord consists of a minor triad with an added minor seventh interval. It has a melancholic and mellow sound.
