GMOs are organisms whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. This is often done to introduce beneficial traits into the organism or enhance existing ones.
Transgenic Organisms: Organisms that have inserted DNA from a different species.
Selective Breeding: The process by which humans breed other animals and plants for particular traits.
Gene Splicing: A type of gene modification where the DNA is intentionally broken, modified, and then reattached.
