A Renaissance man is an individual who is skilled in multiple fields or disciplines. These people are also known as polymaths. During the Renaissance era, these individuals were seen as embodying the ideals of education and culture.
Leonardo da Vinci: An iconic example of a "Renaissance Man", he was an artist, scientist, engineer among other things.
Humanities: Academic disciplines that study aspects of human society and culture including literature, philosophy etc., which were often mastered by 'Renaissance Men'.
Vitruvian Man: A drawing made by Leonardo da Vinci, which is often used as a symbol of the symmetry of the human body, and by extension, of the universe.
