The Berlin Crisis was a period when tensions between East Germany (supported by USSR) and West Germany (supported by USA), escalated leading to construction of Berlin Wall. It highlighted conflicting ideologies - communism vs capitalism - during Cold War era.
Berlin Wall: Physical barrier built by East German government which completely cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany including East-Berlin from 1961-1989.
Iron Curtain: A term popularized by Winston Churchill to describe the political, military, and ideological barrier erected by the Soviet Union after World War II to seal off itself and its dependent eastern and central European allies from open contact with the West.
Cold War: As mentioned earlier, it was a period of geopolitical tension between powers in the Eastern Bloc (the Soviet Union and its satellite states) and powers in the Western Bloc (the United States, its NATO allies and others).
