Greenhouse gases are gases in the Earth's atmosphere that trap heat and contribute to the greenhouse effect, leading to global warming. They include carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and fluorinated gases.
Global Warming: The long-term increase in Earth's average surface temperature due to human activities, primarily the emission of greenhouse gases.
Carbon Dioxide (CO2): A greenhouse gas released by burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas.
Methane (CH4): A potent greenhouse gas produced by livestock farming, rice cultivation, landfills, and natural gas extraction.
