Air pollutants are substances or particles that are released into the atmosphere and can cause harm to human health, the environment, or both. They can come from natural sources like volcanic eruptions or human activities such as burning fossil fuels.
Particulate Matter: Tiny solid or liquid particles suspended in the air that can be harmful when inhaled.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs): Organic chemicals that easily evaporate at room temperature and contribute to air pollution.
Acid Rain: Precipitation with a pH level lower than 5.6 due to high levels of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere.
