The law of mass action states that the rate of any chemical reaction is directly proportional to the product of the masses (or concentrations) of the reacting substances.
Rate Law: An equation showing relationship between rate of a chemical reaction and concentration(s) of reactant(s).
Reaction Rate Constant (k): A proportionality constant relating speed at which product forms from reactant within rate law equation.
Collision Theory: Theory stating that for reactions occur particles must collide with certain minimum energy called activation energy.
