Heat transfer refers to the movement of thermal energy from one object or place to another because of differences in temperature.
Conduction: The process by which heat is directly transmitted through a substance when there is a difference of temperature between adjoining regions, without movement of the material.
Convection: The transfer of heat by the circulation or movement of heated parts of liquid or gas within an environment.
Radiation: The emission and propagation of energy in the form of rays or waves.
