Thermoregulation is an organism’s ability to keep its body temperature within certain boundaries, even when surrounding temperatures are very different.
Homeostasis: The state of steady internal conditions maintained by living things. This includes thermoregulation among many others.
Hypothalamus: A part of the brain that plays a key role in many important functions, including releasing hormones and regulating body temperature.
Endotherm: Animals that can generate their own heat internally and maintain their body temperature regardless of external conditions.
