Global Contemporary refers to contemporary art produced around the world since the mid-20th century. It encompasses various artistic styles, mediums, and themes that reflect the diverse cultural, social, political, and technological aspects of our globalized world.
Installation Art: Installation art is a form of contemporary art where artists create immersive environments or arrangements using various materials such as sculpture, video projections, soundscapes, etc., often transforming gallery spaces into interactive experiences.
Performance Art: Performance art involves live actions performed by artists or participants in front of an audience. It can include elements such as theater, dance, music, spoken word poetry or any combination thereof.
Pop Art: Pop Art emerged in the 1950s as a reaction against traditional fine arts. It incorporates popular culture imagery such as advertising icons, comic books characters or everyday objects into artworks that challenge conventional notions of highbrow art.
